The European Commission has pledged its support to improve accessibility and openness in science, but what does this mean for Research Funders? In this training session, organized by the ORION Open Science H2020 project, the concepts of Open Science will be explained and explored. This interactive workshop will allow participants to gain a strong understanding of the current situation, as well as planning how to make practical and effective changes to incorporate Open Science principles in the funding management process.

11:00   Open Science: Opportunities and Challenges and Status quo
           (Presentation with discussion, researcher testimony, case study group work)

15:30   Discussion and Development of Action Steps
            (World Café to develop action plans for problems identified in the morning)

16:30   Wrap up and feedback
           (Evaluation and interactive summary)
