Open Science aims to open up the whole research cycle to society, reinforcing the idea of scientific knowledge as a public good. Open Science is implemented in parallel with Responsible Research and Innovation that share some of its goals and are both boosted by different scientific communities, governments and the European Commission.

This B·Debate, a joint initiative of Biocat and Obra Social “la Caixa”, is co-organized with the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), the University of Barcelona (UB), the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). The goal of this event is to start building a roadmap for practicing Open Science, by gathering national and international experts from different disciplines and exchanging knowledge and good practices among participants.
