Art is a powerful tool to reach people. Since prehistoric times, humans have used art to tell stories, communicate complex ideas and express emotions. Now, scientists and science communicators are increasingly using diverse art forms to convey science to the public

Join our inspirational session "When arts meet science" at the Forum for Science Communication in Gothenburg on 3 April, where Mairéad Hurley, Science Gallery Dublin and Luiza Bengtsson, responsible for the ORION Open Science trainingMax Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine, Berlin, will showcase how scientists and artists can collaborate and build bridges to engage the public in science.

The Forum for Science Communication (Forum för forskningskommunikation) is the major Nordic conference for science communicators and SciComm researchers. The conference takes place every year in conjunction with the International Science Festival in Gothenburg and attracts over 400 participants from all over the Nordic countries. This year's theme is "Advocacy – good, bad or dangerous?" which will be explored by the key note speakers Imran Khan, Wellcome Trust and the Swedish TV producer Karin af Klintberg.
