Are you a policy maker?
Open Science is a key part of the European Commission’s policy initiative Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). It relies on a joint effort from a multi-actor society whereby researchers, citizens, policy makers, business, and NGOs work side-by-side during the whole research and innovation process in order to align scientific outcomes with the ethical values, the requirements, and the expectations of society. Policy makers need to lead the way towards RRI and are key to the successful implementation of Open Science in research performing and research funding organisations.
How to be involved in ORION?
National and European policy makers will be asked to participate in surveys and co-creation activities within the scope of the project. The outcomes will be fed into the design of training materials, reports, and communication material. Roadmaps and white papers will also be produced targeted at policy makers and they will also be invited to participate in international workshops.
