The 2018 edition of the Living Knowledge Conference will be hosted by the Corvinus Business School, Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary, from 30th May to 1st June. The conference is aimed at academics, practitioners, activists, social innovators, research funders, science educators and communicators, citizen scientists, policy makers, non-governmental organisations, artists, interested community groups and citizens.

The ORION training team will host a session during the conference based on the Open Science training developed by the ORION project. ORION's interactive training program involves a learner-led approach allowing participants to creatively find solutions and discuss issues. The training combines various innovative methods such as future search methods and team-based learning.

For the Living Knowledge Conference we will offer a condensed and streamlined version of the training workshops. We will have groups work on professional dilemma scenarios in order to consider the broad issue of how Open Science, in particular public engagement, helps benefit the research community: researchers, funders, policy makers, and citizens. Specific focus will be put on the practicalities of Open Science and how the science community is adapting to the cultural change the Open Science movement has inspired.

The workshop starts at 11:00 in room 208.
